The name WORLD-ART therefore has multiple meanings too: on the one hand the artist brings into being a really unique and fascinating world that he lives out through his art, while on the other hand the painted creativity is linked to the countless journeys the artist has embarked upon that have taken him to all corners of the real world. The enormous complexity in and behind Markus’s artistic worlds isn’t just reflected in the choice of name. Thus the photographer and painter doesn’t just live in the often confined spaces of his own artistic world; he also knows about the worldly aspects of everyday life. In addition to continually enhancing his artistic creative works, he attained a Master in Marketing and learnt French, English and Swedish to experience all facets of the world as an original artwork in the most intensive way possible. Many of the impressive paintings were first recorded either in the memory of the painter or before the lens of the photographer on one of his many trips. Now – as a virtual symbiosis between this real world and the creative world – the canvas invites the beholder’s imagination to take a journey into unfamiliar worlds.

This form of communication with the beholder is central to Markus’s creative works. With his art he intends to penetrate the worlds of his audience with his own worlds and take the senses on a journey of discovery. To him, abstractness and sensuality are not opposing forces; they’re part of a bigger idea: „Art marks the start of a sensory journey into unfamiliar worlds, an expression of a love of live and joie de vivre.
